That could’ve been the reality facing the nation right now if Hillary Clinton had successfully stolen the election.

A shocking new report from a leading Democratic campaign insider exposes the ugly truth about all of those stories on Clinton’s health last year.

They bought the campaign lies about how her constant coughing fits were just “allergies.” Then, after her stunning collapse in full view of cameras, they calmly reported that she was only “overheated,” a story later changed to “pneumonia.”

But Donna Brazile, who was serving as head of the party at the time, reveals what was really going on in her new book, “Hacks: The Inside Story of the Break-ins and Breakdowns that Put Donald Trump in the White House.”

She said the “whole story stank.”

“Allergies do not cause pneumonia” she wrote in her book, according to The Washington Free Beacon. “And who was going to believe that a grandma with pneumonia would go to her daughter’s house to recover with two vulnerable little ones around? The situation had to be pretty dangerous for her to risk exposing the grandbabies.”

Not only did the story stink, but it didn’t jibe with what Brazile could see with her own two eyes.

“Hillary did not look well,” she wrote, referring specifically to the night in which Clinton made the divisive comments that may have doomed her campaign.

It was the night she called Trump supporters “deplorables.”

Brazile said Clinton should’ve known how damaging that line would be, but she may have been TOO SICK to know better!

She wrote that Clinton’s face was “puffy,” her eyes “glazed” and that “her skin looked pale and papery.”

Not exactly a picture of presidential health.

Two days after the comment, Clinton passed out at a 9/11 event.

At that point, Brazile wrote, the campaign was “anemic” and had taken on “the odor of failure,” according to The Washington Post… so she reached out to the Biden camp.

In her book, she wrote that she considered initiating the process that would dump both Hillary and vice-presidential candidate Tim Kaine and replace them with Biden at the top and Sen. Corey Booker as VP.

The Clinton camp seemed to know something was up. They sent a top campaign official to DNC headquarters to keep an eye on Brazile and “to make sure that Donna didn’t do anything crazy.”

Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe, a longtime Clinton insider, dismissed the claims in Brazile’s book.

“Nobody cares,” he told NBC News.

Given that Clinton lost an election – and her poor health was likely one of the reasons for it – it seems like plenty of people care.

And they all voted for Trump.
