Confirmed: Kavanaugh’s hearing will continue as planned

Democrats’ plan to derail Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearing was an utter failure.
Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) confirmed over the weekend that the Senate Judiciary Committee will likely vote on Kavanaugh’s confirmation later this week, as planned.
Nice Try
The scene that played out during Kavanaugh’s first confirmation hearing looked more like a comedy gone wrong that a SCOTUS hearing.
More than one Democrat used their time to rant about President Donald Trump rather than addressing the issue at hand.
It all culminated over the weekend when Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) produced a letter alleging sexual misconduct by Kavanaugh while he was in high school, over three decades ago.
Within hours of the allegations being lodged against Kavanaugh, more than five dozen women who also attended high school with Kavanaugh came to his defense.
Kennedy also mentioned the classless trick put forth by Feinstein, noting that nothing had ever shown in six previous background checks conducted on Kavanaugh.
Keeping Order
If you watched even a few minutes of the proceedings, you know how crazy things got in the Senate.
Sen. Kennedy said he did the best he could to maintain some semblance of order in what he called an “intergalactic freak show.”
The measures taken by Democrats were not lost on the public.
Even several high-profile members of the left were even at the disgraceful actions by some members of the committee.
Noted liberal Joe Scarborough called Feinstein’s move a “cheap trick.”
Justice Ruth Ginsburg called the proceedings “highly partisan” on both sides and stated she wished she could go back in time to the way it used to be.
With the nomination now set to proceed, Sen. Kennedy said he expects the committee to vote right along party lines.
If that happens, Kavanaugh’s nomination will then proceed to the floor on Thursday.
