Domino's unleashes ridiculous pizza commercial to shame women for eating salad

(NaturalNews) Most of us who make a conscious effort to eat healthy food have been on the receiving end of a fair amount of ridicule over our choices, whether it's our father-in-law insisting that one piece of bacon won't kill us, or our well-meaning friend telling us to "live a little" and join her for a 1,000-calorie drink at Starbucks. However, Domino's Pizza has taken the pastime of mocking healthy eaters to a whole new level with its new commercial, and it's women in particular who are being shamed.

As the commercial opens, a family is sitting at a table eating what
appears to be salad. The kids and father are clearly unhappy with what
is on their plates, while the mother happily pops a bite into her mouth.
After referring to the mother as a "Sally Soul-Smasher" who ruined
pizza night by wanting a salad instead, a man shouts in the mother's
ear, "Eat a pizza once in a while!"

After announcing that Domino's is
now selling salads, he then walks past a pair of slender young women and
sneers, "Tell those lettuce lovers: 'Listen up, there's no reason to
ruin pizza night now.'"

In another offensive commercial for their salads called "The Dinner Dictator," a young girl tells her horrified family that she wants a salad after they say they want to order pizza. The announcer chimes in with: "Luckily at Domino's, we love pizza so much we've added salads so no one can veto pizza night."

Note that it's only women who are ordering salads when everyone else wants pizza. The mother, who is often the one in the family responsible for ensuring everyone makes good choices and remains healthy, earns the label "Sally Soul-Smasher" for her good intentions, while another young girl is essentially being compared to Hitler by being called a "dictator."

Does Domino's think people will want to buy their food after they insult them?
Domino's is taking a really curious approach here, insulting the very people whom they are presumably targeting with their salad offerings. First they make fun of us, and then they want us to give them our hard-earned cash? The truth is that being strong enough to choose salad over pizza can be a struggle for some of us, despite knowing the health implications of each choice. Once we've made the right decision, the last thing we need is a company trying to make us feel bad about it.

While putting more vegetables on the menu at fast food outlets is always a welcome overture, Domino's effort is only halfhearted at best. The chain has teamed up with Ready Pac Foods to provide these salads to those horrible human beings who want to eat vegetables. The choices include Classic Garden, Chicken Caesar and Chicken Apple Pecan. They are prepackaged in a factory, not the restaurant. Everything comes inside plastic containers and bags, and the salad must be assembled by the diners.

Will their salads contain the same dangerous chemicals as their pizzas?
Of course, the truly health-conscious salad eaters are pretty unlikely to eat a prepackaged salad in the first place, for a variety of reasons, first and foremost the very real possibility of getting listeria. And are those apple pieces and lettuce organic? Another big concern is what toxins could be lurking in the prepackaged chicken and salad dressing packets that are provided.

Domino's does not have the best track record when it comes to ingredients, with The Food Babe reporting that its pizza contains dangerous hidden MSG and the preservative TBHQ, which has been linked to stomach cancer, liver enlargement, vision problems and even behavioral problems. Can we expect their salads to fare better in this department? At the risk of sounding like a Sally Soul-Smasher, the chances are pretty high that these salads are not nearly as healthy as Domino's would like people to believe.
