(NaturalNews) A newly emerging "portable aromatherapy" trend is making its way through the health conscious world. Essential oils have been around for ages, and have proven their benefits to our health and happiness.

It's not an e-cigarette
In a similar way to an e-cigarette, a small coil heats the essential oils and wild plant extracts which you breathe in through your mouth and exhale through your nose.

So what makes it different to smoking an e-cigarette, you may ask? These recyclable essential oil vaporizers are free of tobacco, nicotine and artificial chemicals. Each essential oil blend is made out of 80 percent soy-based vegetable glycerin and 20 percent essential oils from reputable certified organic sources.

Most plant materials are grown organically in the U.S. by Oregon-Tilth Certified Organic processors, and then processed into essential oils and whole plant extracts. Plants cultivated outside of the U.S. all go through a strict verification process by region-specific organizations and are vetted by Oregon Tilth once in the U.S.

Currently, MONQ is selling seven pre-blended portable essential oil diffusers in a stick or a vape pen for any mood that may strike you.

Healthy is a blend of cinnamon, marjoram and turmeric, and is an overall health and wellness promoting mixture. It eases tension and muscle discomforts, and benefits the digestive tract.

Happy combines fennel, thyme and vanilla to ease frustrations, improve attention and boost confidence.

Sexy is a potent blend of jasmine, lime and patchouli. It acts as an aphrodisiac and stimulates subjective behavioral arousal.

Is it safe?
According to AromaUtopia, MONQ claims to have the endorsement of Robert Tisserand, a leading essential oil expert and author of many books regarding essential oil safety. According to the company's website, for all seven MONQ blends, USA-grown organic plants, when available, are extracted and then infused into 100 percent pure, food-grade vegetable glycerin, which the FDA recognizes as safe. Lab tests have found MONQ to be free of formaldehyde, nickel, tin lead or aluminum.

Furthermore, they note that their diffusers are safe to use in terms of the essential oil content, as well as the heated vapor delivery system. However, they can only guarantee the safety of the products when they are used as directed, and not by people with respiratory illnesses, allergies to essential oils, or by pregnant or nursing women.
