London Terrorist Attack: How to Prevent Further Attacks

Britain is cursed. But there is one way to reverse the curse and make the UK great again.

It’s a miserable scene, now so maddeningly familiar. This is the second time in less than two weeks that we’ve seen Britain’s streets filled with ambulances, dead bodies covered with sheets, and living victims in a state of shock crying into the arms of strangers. All at the hands of Islamist terrorists. A month or so before Manchester it was London. Before that it was Berlin, Brussels, Nice, Paris and on and on.

As always, there is an endless list of questions. Who exactly were the perpetrators? Where did they live? Are there more and are they part of a broader network? Will there be more attacks today? Extra security has already been dispatched across London. Among all the questions, two stand out, like a flashing neon sign.

Why did this attack happen and how can we prevent another?

Everyone is an expert, it seems, and many think they have the answers. Some say the attack occurred because of multiculturalism and tolerance and political correctness, all of which are responsible for radical Islam being able to take root across Britain. Some will blame the UKs weak immigration laws and policies. Some will blame the government’s lack of vigilance. Some will even blame Britain itself, and argue that the UKs participation in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and its alliance with the U.S., is responsible for Muslim hatred of the West.

There is truth in some of these explanations. But they all fall woefully short of truly answering these questions. So where can we get the answers?

Leviticus 26:15-16 is one passage among many in the Bible that furnish answers.

And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant: I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart…

Some will scoff at the thought of addressing a 21st century issue by digging through the Old Testament. They can scoff away, the fact of the situation is: 6 people are dead, more than 40 are injured, London is locked down, and Britain is yet again experiencing the scourge of another Islamist attack. How bad must the suffering get before we are humble enough to at least consider any explanation? The truth is, Leviticus 26 is full of prophecy about the 21st century. In his book The United States and Britain in Prophecy, Herbert W Armstrong called Leviticus 26 the “pivotal prophecy” of the Old Testament. This towering prophecy explains much of the world in the 21st century.

Believe it or not, the scriptures above apply specifically to the people of Britain. As Mr. Armstrong thoroughly explains, in Leviticus 26 God confers the promise He made to Abraham onto the ancient Israelites, and specifically the tribes of Ephraim and Manasseh. The peoples of Britain and America today descend from Ephraim and Manasseh. God’s message to Britain and America in Leviticus 26 is fairly straightforward. He says: Obey my laws, and you will be blessed.

He also warned: Reject my laws, and “I will appoint over you terror.”

How do we prevent further attacks like the one we experienced today in London? The answer is also in Leviticus 26 — we need to submit to God and His laws.

Most of Britain won’t, but you can.
