The book of life that the Bible talks about, is the book that contains all the names of those who will go to heaven “If anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.” (Revelation 20:15). God keeps records of His faithful children.
This book of life is also mentioned in (Revelation 3:5; 20:12); and (Philippians 4:3). The same book is also called the Lamb’s Book of Life because it contains the names of those who have been redeemed by the blood of the Lord Jesus (Revelation 13:8; 21:27).
The Great White Throne Judgment described in (Revelation 20:11-15) is a judgment for unbelievers. This verse makes it clear that no one at that judgment has his name in the book of life (Revelation 20:12-14).
Other references also that refer to the book of life are found in (Psalm 69:28) “Let them [David’s enemies] be blotted out of the book of the living.”; and in (Exodus 32:32) “Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin–; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written”; and also in (Dan. 12:1) “And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.”
