GRATEFUL THANKFULNESS

Grateful Thankfulness

Your mercy far exceeds that for which I deserve

And your unlimited love outweighs my understanding.

I can never thank you enough for all that you have

Blessed my life with nor can I ever repay that debt.

The forgiveness that you bestow upon me is limitless

Yet I have such difficulty forgiving my fellow man.

Your understanding of my difficulties is timeless

And often I fail to realize just how much you care.

It's only after I have exceeded my own limitations

That I remember your promises and your words.

Father forgive me for not always leaning on you

And giving you my problems instead of worrying

About them to the point that I lose total site of you.

My simple human understanding many times interferes

With my ability to trust you and your awesome power.

Divine wisdom and faith are the treasures that I now seek

As I humble myself before you and turn from the world.

For you are the only answer to all of my problems - therefore

Absolutely nothing is impossible if I will just rest in your spirit

And forever remember to remain in a state of grateful thankfulness.
