NEVER ALONE......

Never Alone

As I stand here on this rocky precipice

Which juts out of the latest mountain that

I have had to overcome - I again thank God.

He met me at the base and has been my

Steady partner during the entire climb.

No longer will I "go it alone" - it isn’t

Necessary now or ever again - I’m glad.

Our fellowship during the climb taught

Me more than I had expected to learn.

When I face the enemy I never face him

Alone and he has known this much longer

Than I have - clever deception on his part.

For when I stand my ground as a servant

Of God and my ways are His ways - then I

Have the Father above me, my Lord in front

Of me, and the Holy Spirit beside me - always.

In addition I’m surrounded by a legion of angels

Who are ready and able to assist me when I

Weaken and stumble - divine protection assigned.

Finally, my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ

Who I confide in and fellowship with are my

Willing , able, and tireless intercessors in prayer.

With this divine army of God with its many formidable

Members, how can I lose, how could I possibly begin

To even doubt who the winner in the battle will be?

I’m not only standing on the mountain that I have

Defeated, I am a mountain - a fortress that contains

The mighty power of the one true God - without him

Though - I’m just another defeated Christian foolishly

Waiting on God to do something that he has already

Promised and that He has already done!
