FALLING...........

Falling

Leaves joyously rustling as they prepare

For those last few days of the season.

Having already cycled through their

Multitude of colors they now complete

Their final chapter of life by decorating

The landscape as they gracefully drift

Down and cover the ground - fanciful

Flight that has been orchestrated each

Year for thousands of years by a creator

Who has left nothing to chance and who

Has never failed to be directly involved

In the intricate acts of even one of His

Creations - what an awesome God that

We have, what a loving Master that we

Serve, all knowing, all seeing, all caring

Yet He gives each one of us the freedom

To do as we please, even when we please.

The seasons come and go, the transitions of

Life go forward with or without our cooperation

And so it’s up to us whether or not we handle

These transitions stubbornly and with a lot of

Anxiety or if we waltz through them gracefully

Like the leaves, celebrating each new season

And then finally going out in a burst of brilliant

Color and leaving behind a legacy to be enjoyed

By those left behind - the divine fulfillment of life.
