PARADISE FOUND..

Paradise Found

Moss covered oak trees standing their dutiful watch along

The banks of Boggy Bayou as the squirrels run playfully

Among the mighty branches and the woodpeckers work

For their supper while disturbing the peaceful sleep of the

Many other birds who have sought temporary refuge there.

As the gulf winds blows heartily through these mighty oaks

Their leaves ring out melody after melody, always something

New and unique and almost impossible to ever repeat again.

These melodies are enhanced by the sound of the waves as they

Lap onto the banks and against the many docks that line the

Bayou shoreline - reminders that mankind has found another

Of God’s paradises and has attempted to take complete ownership.

Pelicans roost on those docks as they search for schools of fish and

The Mullet jump happily and attempt it seems at times to fly -

Excessive happiness maybe? Ducks quacking in the distance

Reminding the world again that they to are longtime residents.

The sea oats rustle and dance in the wind as do the needles of

The tall and mighty pine trees that speckle the landscape.

As I view this visual masterpiece of God’s design and listen

To the surreal sounds of nature that come as part of the package

I am humbled, calmed, thank-full, and blessed just knowing that

The creator of this paradise is the very same creator of mankind.
