We all have our hopes and dreams that we have simply put away

Hoping someday that things will "work out" - that is what we pray.

We really shouldn't wait for signs and wonders or any other voice

For God gives each of us direction and a believer's freedom of choice.

If our own desires don't conflict with the Father's way to life

Then we can stand up in faith and serve him without doubt and strife.

God is so gracious as to allow his people to both follow their dreams

And to happily serve the Master while pursuing our own goals it seems.

We were not put on this earth to simply exist nor to follow a random trail

So our creator put within us a desire to succeed and to never ever fail.

Most failures take place only in our mind before we have even attempted

To do those things that we desire because we've allowed ourselves to be tempted.

Tempted to fail and tempted to doubt - this is all part of the enemy's plan

To keep believers from succeeding and prospering and living in the land

Of milk and honey as the true children of God - serving him and doing well

Within our own circle of life and influence while on this earth we dwell.

For the more that we succeed and help others to do the same

The more likely unbelievers will listen to us as God's love we proclaim.

How can we be a witness to the Father's enduring love when we ourselves

Act downtrodden, lost, and hopeless and they just see this in themselves?

So unpack those dreams and desires and put them humbly before the Lord

Then discard the ones that go against the Holy way of life and that will only cause discord.

Now take the rest and hold them up and claim victory while praising HIS mighty name

And make TODAY the day that you both live for him, and promise to never ever be the same!
