JESUS CHRIST AROSE FROM THE DEAD

Jesus Christ arose on the First Day of the Week from the Dead;
A Crown of Thorns they had placed in His Head.
He died on the Cross of Calvary for you and for Me;
So that from our sins we could be set Free.

To Christ Jesus their sins the people Brought;
Getting to Heaven is what they Sought.
After Jesus died on the Cross they laid Him Away;
In a new tomb His Disciples thought He would Stay.

When they came to His tomb early in the week on the First Day;
To their surprise they found that the stone had been rolled Away.
"He is not here," the Angels in shiny white robes Said;
"He has already Risen from the Dead."

Now He rules in Heaven with the Heavenly Father Above;
And we all should worship Him and give Him our undying Love.
If we give our heart, soul, and mind to HIM, our Almighty Lord;
Then some day we will enter into heaven as our Reward.
