Clinton gestapo demands personal information from comedians who revealed her campaign to be a complete joke

(NaturalNews) Telling jokes that are not flattering to Hillary Clinton is no laughing matter, several comedians discovered recently, after she sicced some of her campaign goons on the owner of a historic Hollywood comedy club, following performances by several talented up-and-comers who mocked various aspects of her wardrobe and personality.

As noted by Judicial Watch, a legal watchdog group based in Washington, D.C., what the former first lady, U.S. senator and Secretary of State did, "appears to be a first for a serious presidential contender."

As you can see in a short video summary of various performances on the website of the renowned club, the Laugh Factory, much of the humor is off-color, but satirical humor always is. However, in what the club has titled, "Hillary Clinton vs. the First Amendment," the Clinton campaign has not only demanded that it be taken down, but also wanted to know the personal contact information of the performers.

Club owner, Jamie Masada, is neither amused nor impressed. As a comedy artist who opened the Laugh Factory more than 30 years ago, and who has given stage to many now-famous comedians including Louie Anderson, Roseanne Barr, Chris Tucker, Tim Allen and Drew Carey, he believes vehemently in the art form of comedy as an extension of social justice and constitutionalism.

"They threatened me," he told Judicial Watch. "I have received complain[t]s before but never a call like this, threatening to put me out of business if I don't cut the video."

'The comedy stage is a refuge of free speech
As Judicial Watch noted further in reporting the incident:

"Practically all of the country's most acclaimed comedians have performed at the Laugh Factory and undoubtedly they have offended politicians and other well-known personalities with their standup routines. ... The First Amendment right to free speech is a crucial component of the operation, though Masada drew the line a few years ago banning performers—including African Americans—from using the 'n-word' in their acts."

The Clinton campaign wants Masada to cut five short performances that include some profanity and portions that could be considered crass (like questioning Hillary's sexual preferences). However, many of the jokes are considered funny by a great deal of viewers who have seen the video, and those in attendance at the actual performances – and of course, this is what the Laugh Factory is about.

In addition to her sexual orientation, the performers also poke fun at her age, wardrobe (she has often been mocked for her "power" pantsuits), the Monica Lewinsky scandal and, of course, her relationship with her philandering former president-husband.

But apparently Clinton doesn't care much for the First Amendment when she is subjected to a little ridicule. Masada told Judicial Watch that no sooner had the video been posted on the Laugh Factory website, than he got a call from a "prominent" figure inside the Clinton campaign.

"He said the video was disgusting and asked who put me up to this," Masada said, adding that the staffer – whom he said he would not identify – demanded the names and phone numbers of the comedians who appeared in the video.

Masada said he refused and then hung up his phone. He also insisted that the comedy stage is a free speech refuge no matter who is offended.

"Just last night we had (Emmy Award-winner) Dana Carvey doing Donald Trump and it was hilarious," said Masada.

Hillary Clinton does not have the personality and temperament to be our president
This antic by the Clinton campaign raises a number of disturbing questions.

First, if she can't take a joke now, as a presidential candidate, what makes anyone think that she'd be more understanding and forgiving as president? What would a President Hillary do after, say, she or one of her policies was disparaged in a comedic way? Send the FBI to arrest the "offending" offender?

In fact, if Hillary Clinton can't take a little mocking from American comedians, how will she react when she is mocked on the world stage by global leaders who are opposed to her policies?

And finally, even Clinton supporters ought to be disturbed by this: the fact that anyone who wants to be president of the United States would attempt to shut down a comedian who mocked them does not have the personality or temperament to head up the Executive Branch of the world's foremost constitutional republic.

Hopefully one of the GOP presidential contenders will seize upon this and use it against her during debates if, as expected, she becomes the Democratic presidential nominee.
