Psychologist pours DRAIN CLEANER in woman's eyes to 'treat' her mental disorder

(NaturalNews) A North Carolina woman who says she should have been born blind, but wasn't, has decided to take matters into her own hands with the help of a "clinical psychologist" who has finally granted her what she's always wanted – the "ability" to not be able to see.

Jewel Shuping suffers from a serious mental condition known as Body Integrity Identity Disorder (BIID), that's given her a compulsive desire to be disabled. From early childhood, Jewel told the Mirror, she always wanted to be blind – a disability that she believes will give her great comfort.

"When I was young, my mother would find me walking in the halls at night, when I was three or four years old," says Jewel. "By the time I was six, I remember that thinking about being blind made me feel comfortable."

Jewel's parents apparently failed to teach their daughter that having eyesight is a gift to be treasured, not a nuisance to be eradicated. And, as she grew older, Jewel's obsession with being blind only grew stronger, resulting in her play-pretending to be blind with dark sunglasses.

By the time Jewel turned 18, she had already purchased herself a blindness cane, and by 20 she had completely learned how to read braille. Now, all she needed to do was figure out a way to actually become blind.

"I was 'blind-simming', which is pretending to be blind," she told the Mirror, "but the idea kept coming up in my head and by the time I was 21 it was a non-stop alarm that was going off."

Unsettled by the fact that she could still see the world around her, though, Jewel decided to mutilate herself with the help of a psychologist who, rather than try to talk her out of her madness, agreed to grant her blindness through chemical destruction of her eyeballs.

According to reports, Jewel visited the "doctor," who first put numbing eye-drops in her eyes, followed by a few drops of noxious drain cleaner. Over the course of the next six months, Jewel suffered a "corneal meltdown" in one of her eyes, resulting in it having to be removed, and the other eye developed glaucoma and cataracts.

The eventual result was blindness in both eyes, and Jewel was thrilled. She eventually told her parents what she had done, though, and they completely cut contact with her. But this has done nothing to dampen her enthusiasm.

"I really feel this is the way I was supposed to be born, that I should have been blind from birth," Jewel told the media. "When there's nobody around you who feels the same way, you start to think that you're crazy. But I don't think I'm crazy, I just have a disorder."

To each his own, except for the fact that induced blindness comes with a lifetime of consequences, not the least of which includes the inability to properly take care of oneself without outside assistance. And Jewel herself admits that the decision was based on a "disorder," which is an admission that blinding oneself isn't normal.

And yet, Jewel decided to do this to herself anyway, selfishly reveling in a delusion that being blind would make her "happy" – and sacrificing her family in the process! Such perverse behavior is indicative of the complete unraveling of civil society, and something you will likely see more of as things get progressively worse.

"This woman should never receive SSI, welfare or any other government assistance," commented one reader. "The psychologist who did this should have their license revoked and [be] criminally charged for assault."
