Grace Upon Grace

Like the waves of the sea

Hope Cover final

rolls God’s grace unto me:

wave upon wave…

grace upon grace.



Always they come…

endless, grace from above.

Never ceasing or sleeping…

grace unrelenting.



Moment by moment,

day after day,

year follows year…

God’s grace like the sea.



Through centuries and aeons,

yet fresh every second,

rolling incessantly…

God’s grace can be seen.



In tempest, in storm,

in calm and in joy,

waves gentle or powerful…

grace always is suitable.



Like the waves of the sea

rolls God’s grace unto me;

as wave upon wave…

comes grace upon grace.
