Contentment And Peace

In chains in a lonely prison cell,
Paul found contentment and peace.
He cast his burdens on Jesus,
And joy in his heart did not cease.

I get placed in some circumstances
That can stir up so much strife,
But trusting and looking to Jesus
Can keep deep contentment in life.

In the midst of all my troubles,
I can weather the storms so wild
And have peace down deep within,
Remembering that I am God's child.

I can have contentment and peace
That only my great God can give.
I can be led by the Holy Spirit
Each day on this earth that I live.
