(NaturalNews) The mainstream media won't tell you that Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton isn't well enough to run for president, let alone actually become president and attempt to govern the most powerful nation on earth – even if she is making a joke of her health on late-night talk shows.

But someone unexpected has said that Hillary is certainly not physically fit to be the leader of the free world: Her husband, former President Bill Clinton.

Author Edward Klein, in his recently released book, Unlikeable, The Problem with Hillary Clinton, revealed that the former chief executive said he didn't believe his wife was well enough to run. From her now-infamous coughing spells, to her documented inability to even climb a short flight of steps, Clinton has proven her husband's claim, the Conservative Tribune reported.

Last year, Hillary was forced to cut back on her campaigning and cancel meetings because of her health issues, according to Klein. And while she told everyone around her that her physicians could not find a "definitive problem," her husband nevertheless "believed she was in denial and was ignoring what could be life-threatening symptoms."

Bill Clinton was so concerned, in fact, that he requested that a cardiologist examine her medical records. After looking through them, the doctor recommended that the former first lady, U.S. senator and secretary of state travel full-time with a doctor so she would constantly be under medical supervision.

But she would not agree to that. Klein wrote that Bill Clinton was concerned that his wife would have a medical episode – a slip, a fall, a stumble – at a crucial moment in the campaign, which would have given away the fact that she just "wasn't up to" the job of being president and commander-in-chief.

However, when Bill approached his wife about the issue and how campaigning was having a negative effect on her health, she reportedly "blew up" at him, yelling, "You're acting like a f***ing quitter and loser. You're projecting your own health problems onto me. I'm not dying."

That most certainly does sound like someone who is in deep denial, doesn't it? Nevertheless, despite her denials, the majority of Americans want to see her medical records, and that includes her GOP rival, Donald J. Trump, who just this week challenged her to release them.

"I think that both candidates, Crooked Hillary and myself, should release detailed medical records. I have no problem in doing so! Hillary?" Trump said in a tweet.

Trump's own medical record has also recently come under renewed scrutiny, after his physician, Dr. Harold Bornstein, gave him a glowing assessment. Bornstein told NBC News that he wrote the letter in five minutes while a limo waited outside for it.

He also said he used language that matched the candidate's, calling Trump's health "astonishingly excellent."

Apparently that was too much for the mainstream media, which poo-pooed Bornstein's assessment as hyperbolic and therefore not believable – even though he's been Trump's personal physician for 35 years.

Trump has no obvious medical problems, but Clinton certainly does – and the history to go along with it
"If elected, Mr. Trump, I can state unequivocally, will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency," Bornstein wrote. When asked by NBC News how he could quantify such a claim, Bornstein replied, "I like that sentence to be quite honest with you and all the rest of them are either sick or dead."

Clinton's physician, Dr. Lisa Bardack, has also released a letter publicly, in which she claims that the nominee is in "excellent physical condition and fit to serve as president of the United States."

That is, after she listed Clinton's current medical conditions: Hypothyrodism, history of deep vein thrombosis (1998 and 2009), an elbow fracture in 2009 (which was the result of a fall, by the way), and a concussion in 2012 (also the result of a fall after a faint). The latter faint/fall resulted in a blood clot between her brain and skull, which took her six months to get over, as per husband Bill.
