MESSAGE FROM MATTHEW

God promises many Blessings,
He has laid up for those who obey;
You need only to search the Scriptures,
For the fate that awaits you today.
The poor will inherit the Kingdom,
They who mourn will no longer weep;
They who hunger and thirst will be righteous,
The pure can find rest in their sleep.
And others speak evil against you,
Rejoice, be exceedingly glad;
For great is the reward that awaits you,
And no longer will you have to feel sad.
And those who are now known as peace-makers,
As yet this life they do trod;
A rich reward now awaits them,
They'll be known as children of God.
Great is their reward in the Kingdom,
God judges according to worth;
Those who will reap all of these blessings,
Will be known as the salt of this earth.
Matthew 5:3, 14
