MSNBC star Lawrence O’Donnell, host of the prime-time show The Last Word, went on an unhinged, vulgar 8-minute long tirade while recording his show on Aug. 29 — and what the leaked footage contains is shocking.

O’Donnell is targeting President Donald Trump during segments for his show, but again and again when the feed cuts away he explodes in expletive rants and angry hand gestures about construction noises and voices in his earpiece.

Just as the feeds come back in, O’Donnell attempts to compose himself and continue bashing Trump — but he appears visibly flustered and irate.

“What’s going on, why am I losing this… why don’t I have sound?” the meltdown begins, his voice shaking. “Who’s asking for a Labor Day rundown in my ear!?”

As the next segment ends, O’Donnell has begun shaking. “There’s insanity in the control room tonight!” he starts, but seems to try and hold it together.

However, he loses total control shortly afterwards.

“You have insanity in my earpiece!” an enraged O’Donnell yells to no one in particular. “F***ing..!”

Finally, the last straw comes when he hears hammering a floor above him.

“Stop the hammering! Stop the hammering up there! Who has got a hammer!? Where is it, where the hammer!? Go up on the other floor! Somebody get up there and stop the hammering! Stop the hammering! I’ll go down to the G*dd****d floor myself and stop it!” he screams, pointing wildly at his producers. “Keep the G*dd****d commercial break going!

O’Donnell then threatens his producers by demanding they call the network boss.

“Call f**kin’ [MSNBC President] Phil Griffin, I don’t care who the f**k you have to call! Stop the hammering! Empty out the G*dd*** control room and find out where this is going on!” O’Donnell screaming, throwing his hands around in wild gestures. “F***ing out-of-control s***!”

In the final cut, O’Donnell remains angry but is seemingly defeated. He begins by complaining about the editing of the clip and crumples the paper on his desk is frustration, throwing it aside when he’s done.

“Crazy f***ing sound coming in my eat, this stupid f***ing hammering! It just… f***ing sucks. It f***ing sucks to be out here with all this out-of-control s***!” O’Donnell says, staring down at his desk in defeat.

After the footage was leaked, O’Donnell apologized for his behavior. “A better anchorman and a better person would’ve had a better reaction to technical difficulties. I’m sorry,” he wrote on Twitter.
