It is most amazing that the Bible is the best-selling book of the year, every year. The Bible was completed approximately 1900 years ago. In spite of its age, the Bible remains in constant demand. Millions would die for it, if necessary.
The Bible presents the knowledge of who God is and His plans for His children here on earth. The most important knowledge has been revealed in the scriptures is the story of our separation from God by sin and God’s provision for redemption through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ, on the cross (John 3:16).
God’s word remains relevant today. The Bible contains a vast source of information about the natural world that has been confirmed by scientific observations and research. Some of these passages include: (Leviticus 17:11; Ecclesiastes 1:6-7; Job 36:27-29; Psalm 102:25-27 and Colossians 1:16-17).
God’s Word cannot be destroyed. Men and even entire nations tried to discredit the Bible and even destroy it, but were not successful and their attacks on the Bible failed “The word of the Lord endureth for ever” (1 Peter 1:25).
Millions seek the Bible because it answers life’s basic questions:

1. Where did I come from? God created humans in His image. Men and women are the sons and daughters of God, the Mighty King (Galatians 3:26). God loved us so much that He gave His Son to die and pay the penalty for our sins so we could be free. He wants to restore us to His image and then, shortly, take us back to Eden.
   
2. Why am I here? Our aims for life today should be to learn about God’s salvation and to accept Jesus’ offer to restore us to His image (Romans 8:29).
   
3. What does the future hold for me? Jesus will come very soon to take His people to heaven. There, with ultimate joy and happiness, people will live forever (John 14:1-3; Revelation 21:3, 4).
   

The words of the Bible has power to change lives. It delivers people from addictions, bondage, sin and transform sinners into saints. No other book on earth has been able to produce such an effect in its readers. This is because the Bible contains the divine power of the Creator.
Kingdoms and governments change and generations pass but the Word of God is as relevant today as it was when it was first written.
