Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said that he believes special counsel Robert Mueller is giving "disparate treatment" to contacts with Russia by the Trump campaign.
Fitton said on "Fox & Friends First" that the workings of the Podesta Group, a top Washington, D.C., lobbying firm, are just as big an issue for Mueller's team to examine.
The firm is reportedly on the verge of shutting down after Mueller's team began looking into whether it violated federal law.

Fitton said John Podesta, who was chair of the Clinton campaign, and co-founded the firm with his brother, Tony Podesta, "presumably" would have known about the Trump-Russia dossier, which was funded by the DNC and the Clinton campaign.
"Of course Mueller isn't going to go after John Podesta because John Podesta and the Clinton campaign were working hand in glove, it looks like, through this dossier with the FBI to target team Trump. It just screams disparate treatment between Paul Manafort and Podesta or basically [between] the Trump team and the Clinton team," he said.
The Podesta Group said it has "fully disclosed" its clients, filed the proper paperwork and "has fully cooperated with the Special Counsel’s office."
But Fitton said it's "remarkable" that Manafort, former Trump campaign manager, is being prosecuted by Mueller over Ukraine-linked lobbying when he was actually working "in partnership" with the Podesta Group.
