A NEW BEGINNING

A New Beginning

It is only by the loving grace of our almighty God
That I have completed yet another chapter of my life.
Although I and the enemy have both tried very hard
To do me in - we have both miserably failed.

What I, and the world would view as failure after
Failure, and one mistake after another
Father God sees as lesson learned after lesson
Learned, successful completion - again and again.

For now I fully understand that on my own -
I can do nothing, I am absolutely useless.
Yet, with Jesus living inside of me, I can do
And accomplish anything that God sets before me.

Foolish thoughts and notions have been replaced
With Godly wisdom - Holy Spirit guidance.
The scales of spiritual blindness have been removed
From my eyes and discernment has now taken root.

Obedience and discipline now rule over my life as
I give up the last vestiges of fleshly stubbornness.
No longer desiring to run from the arms of God,
I now constantly seek His glorious loving face.

Deliberate deafness to the voice of the Father has
Finally lost it's grip - I now crave for His words.
My idle chatter has now been subdued and I
Find myself continually praising and praying.

Although this "birthing" process has been a very,
Very, painful experience - markedly so.
I still celebrate it and give God all of the glory,
For now I am reborn - yet once again!
