There’s a big change coming for Democrats — and it’s very bad news for liberal leadership like senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.
Across the country, a new breed of politician is making its way to Washington. Officials like 28-year-old socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are young and far-left of establishment Democrats — and voters are turning against them.

They come to politics steeped in an era of resistance and revolt, like the Tea Party Republicans who rose against President Barack Obama and the so-called Watergate babies elected after President Richard Nixon.

And they’re driving voters straight into the arms of Republicans.
According to the latest polls, enthusiasm for the Democratic Party is waning among millennials. Young people are rejecting Democrats message of division and anger ahead of the 2018 midterm elections.
That’s bad news for Schumer, who has promised to deliver a “blue wave” to the House and Senate in November.

Last Tuesday, socialist Ocasio-Cortez pulled off a stunning primary election romp in New York, toppling 10-term congressman Joe Crowley of New York City. He was once thought of as a possible successor to Pelosi, but has now become a symbol of how far left party has become in the Trump era.
Independent and moderate voters aren’t happy.
“The online survey of more than 16,000 registered voters ages 18 to 34 shows their support for Democrats over Republicans for Congress slipped by about 9 percentage points over the past two years, to 46 percent overall. And they increasingly say the Republican Party is a better steward of the economy,” Reuters, a left-leaning news site, reported.
“Although nearly two of three young voters polled said they do not like Republican President Donald Trump, their distaste for him does not necessarily extend to all Republicans or translate directly into votes for Democratic congressional candidates,” the study said.

“That presents a potential problem for Democrats who have come to count on millennials as a core constituency — and will need all the loyalty they can get to achieve a net gain of 23 seats to capture control of the U.S. House of Representatives in November.”
When even left-leaning pollsters are warning Schumer about Democrat chances at the polling booth, things are very bad for liberal leadership.
