Report: Trump’s Supreme Court pick is between these two

Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy announced his retirement last Wednesday, and speculation has been rampant on the next justice to replace him.
President Donald Trump has begun interviewing potential Supreme Court justice and will be officially nominating his candidate to the highest court as early as next week.
Monday, reports say that Trump has already narrowed the choice down to two: D.C. Circuit Court Judge Brett Kavanaugh and Chicago Circuit Court Judge Amy Coney Barrett.

That’s according to CBS News, who reported that both Kavanaugh and Barrett appear on Trump’s top 25 list of potential nominees and the president has announced that he has plans to interview half a dozen of the candidates prior to his selection.
The Daily Wire reported that Kavanaugh could be a good potential conservative nominee for Trump because he “held in 2011 that the Washington, D.C. ban on semi-automatic rifles and its gun registration requirement were unconstitutional under Heller.”
On the flip side, many critics suggest that Kavanaugh is the wrong candidate because he “upheld Obamacare in Sissel v. Department of Health and Human Services as well as in Seven-Sky v. Holder, in which he stated that the Obamacare penalties were actually “taxes.””
According to The Daily Wire, Barrett would be a potentially positive conservative choice because, “She believes that life begins at conception, and signed a letter from the Becket Fund criticizing Obamacare’s requirement that employers provide contraceptive coverage, calling it a “grave violation of religious freedom.””

Others have suggested Barrett would be Trump’s best choice for his Supreme Court justice nominee because she is a woman and only 46 years old. She has also already withstood liberals’ fire after Senator Dianne Feinstein infamously said “the dogma lives loudly” within Barrett.
