Tragedy fact check: 165 times as many people were killed today by the U.S. medical system than died in the Umpqua Community College shooting

(NaturalNews) While all unnecessary deaths are a tragedy, the mainstream media is predictably leaping on the campus shooting at Umpqua Community College in Oregon, falsely portraying America as an out-of-control shooting gallery where no one is safe as long as guns are legal.

SHOOTER TAKEN OUT BY MEN WITH GUNS: Reportedly, 13 people have been killed in the campus shooting. Those deaths are tragic, to be clear, but many of them could have been directly prevented if Oregon allowed 21-year-olds who pass a background check and criminal history check to carry concealed firearms on campus... as has just been legalized across Texas. The Sheriff of Roseburg, Oregon, in fact, has just confirmed that the shooter was killed by men with guns, proving yet again that "good guys" with guns are capable of stopping "bad guys" with guns. (Concealed carry means "first responders" are citizens who are already on the scene when the shooting starts, ready to defend life and halt the active shooter.)

Umpqua Community College was specifically chosen by the shooter because it is a "gun-free" zone where no one is likely to shoot back, said former US Marshal Art Roderick. “[The gunman] probably knew that the facility was a gun free facility, [which is] an easy target for these kinds of coward individuals. They know they’re not going to get any response unless they happen to run into security or a campus police officer.”

Even more importantly, what the media isn't telling you is that 165 times as many people will be killed today by the U.S. medical system than the number who died at Umpqua. Over 2,100 people will be killed today by medication side effects, incompetent doctors, botched surgeries, medical mistakes, chemotherapy treatments and other similar causes. Over the course of a year, a whopping 784,000 Americans will be killed by the medical system.

What I find shameful in the media's coverage of all this is how mainstream reporters are saying we should all be scared to go to malls, movie theaters and classrooms because of firearms. Yet there isn't a single journalist in the media saying the far more statistically accurate statement that we should be more afraid to go to a hospital, doctor's office or cancer clinic because those are the locations where fatalities are far more likely to victimize us.

You are far more likely to be killed by a doctor than an active shooter
Despite today's shooting, the odds of being killed on a college campus today are exceedingly remote. Yet the odds of being killed in a hospital -- infected with a superbug, killed by surgery gone wrong, or killed with deadly medications that cause heart attacks -- are orders of magnitude higher.

None of this means, of course, that the tragic deaths at the Umpqua Community College don't matter. Of course they matter. Every life matters, and no person deserves to have their life cut short by violence. Those victims of Umpqua deserve our prayers and heartfelt efforts to prevent future deaths from happening. Yet the 2,100 victims of the U.S. medical system receive no prayers, no media coverage and no acknowledgement at all. It's almost as if 13 people somehow matter more than 2,100 people simply because of the manner in which they were tragically killed. If you are killed by a pharmaceutical drug, your death doesn't matter, it seems. But if you're killed by a bullet, then your death is practically celebrated by the national media which can't wait to stand on top of your dead body and start screaming, "Gun control!" My question to the nation is simply this: Why isn't ALL life worth protecting?

Many forms of "silent violence" are killing millions every year
If we are to be honest with ourselves, there are all sorts of forms of violence in society today, and most of them take their victims silently, with no media coverage, no speeches from politicians and no awareness at all among the population.

These forms of "silent violence" include:

• Medical violence: The forced chemotherapy of teenagers who are kidnapped from their parents and injected with deadly chemicals at gunpoint.

• Vaccine violence: The forced injection of children with toxic vaccines laced with aluminum, MSG, mercury, formaldehyde and other toxic chemicals (that cause autism or worse).

• Chemical violence: The spraying of food crops with cancer-causing glyphosate, an herbicide chemical that's heavily used alongside genetically modified crops.

• Abortion violence: Children are born alive, then murdered by Planned Parenthood to harvest their organs for sale to biotech companies. All life is sacred and worth protecting

We live in a nation that tolerates global military imperialism, the bombing of innocent nations and the military occupation of over 150 nations around the world, threatening violence everywhere.

We live in a nation with a twisted, warped broadcast media that celebrates violence on Netflix, HBO and Hollywood movies, glorifying mass shootings and a culture of drug use and sexual depravity.

With all this under way, why is anyone surprised when a 20-year-old college student snaps and goes on a murder rampage? The sheeple of society are programmed by violence from the day they're born. Yet in our twisted, dumbed-down society, the only thing mindless people can think to blame is firearms. That's not just silly; it's incredibly naive.
