Whole Foods goes 'full mafia' on 70-year-old woman, muscles her into back room for interrogation after innocent cheese checkout mistake

NaturalNews) Whole Foods, the same retailer that sells lead-contaminated organic rice protein and whose store shelves are still lined with unlabeled GMOs, is now modeling its security personnel after the Mafia.

When a 70-year-old woman accidentally overlooked a chunk of cheese while unloading her cart during checkout, she was muscled into a back room by Whole Foods security personnel, interrogated, photographed and banned from Whole Foods stores.

As reported by CBS New York:

Margaret Dooley, of Maplewood, bought about $60 worth of items at the Millburn-Union Whole Foods on Oct. 4, but she forgot to ring up the cheese hiding underneath her bag in the cart... loss prevention agents brought Dooley to the back of the store, where she was questioned, photographed and eventually banned.

Dooley’s daughter posted about the incident on Facebook, and it soon spread through social media. Online users bombarded the store’s Facebook page.

“This policy on treating everyone like a criminal when an honest mistake happened needs some re evaluation by management,” one woman wrote.

“Unless there is an incredible apology, both personally and publicly on this FB page, including to each person who has written a comment about this, my money and I will not be in your store again,” another commenter said.

Whole Foods says it has fired the security firm that carried out the mafia style "loss prevention" action against this 70-year-old woman. Just because they fired the firm, however, doesn't mean they won't hire them back after this story dies down.
