Donald Trump wants cop killers to receive the ultimate punishment

President Donald Trump’s support of our law enforcement officers is legendary, but he still managed to kick it up another notch this week.

On Monday, President Trump once again voiced his support of the death penalty for criminals that kill police officers.
Respect
Over the last two years, we have seen some rather disturbing attacks against law enforcement officers.
One of the more disturbing stories happened not long after the election in Texas.

A local officer had what he thought was a routine traffic stop before him.
However, when he approached the vehicle, the man drew on him.
The officer was shot and killed in the incident.

After the investigation, it was revealed the man had actually sped on purpose, hoping to be pulled over, just so he could kill a cop.
The days of police officers commanding respect in this country are officially over.
Democrats have seen to that.

Death Penalty
President Trump is hoping to change that and give these maniacs some pause for thought before they decide to ambush a police officer.
Trump stated, “Reducing crime begins with respecting law enforcement.”
“We believe that criminals who kill our police officers should immediately, with trial, but rapidly as possible, not 15 years later, 20 years later – get the death penalty,” the President added.
Trump made the statement during the International Association of Chiefs of Police Annual Convention in Orlando on Monday.
The president also addressed the crime problem in Chicago, stating the police there simply need to be able to do their jobs.
Of Chicago, Trump stated, “We strongly oppose efforts from politicians who try to shackle local law enforcement.”
Trump was clearly speaking of Mayor Rahm Emmanuel, who has changed that city into a haven for criminals and illegal immigrants.


Chicago resembles Deadwood during the gold rush more than it does a modern American city these days.

Law enforcement and military are a large reason Trump won this election, and he clearly realizes he still needs them in his corner if the GOP is going to defeat the Democrats in 2018 and 2020.
