Some people have asked why America is so blessed compared to other nations. Many people would respond that we are blessed because we are a Christian nation. Supposing that were true, the next question is –why are we a Christian nation? Most likely it’s because our forefathers started it out that way. Now why did our forefathers start it out that way? Evidently it was because they were a product of the reformation, which took place in Europe. But why did the reformation take place in Europe instead of some other continent like Asia among the Russian people for instance?

There is a good possibility that many of the Diaspora or dispersed descendants of Israel ended up in Europe and it’s probably not an accident that those people have been unusually blessed. It’s interesting to note that Magog the descendant of Japheth is mentioned in the books of Genesis, Ezekiel and Revelation indicating that his descendants are still identifiable at least to their Creator.

But more importantly is the mention of the Holy Seed of the woman that is spoken of in Genesis 3, Ezra 9, Isaiah 6, Malachi 2, Galatians 3, Romans 9, and Revelation 12. There are exceptions to the rule, but the behavior patterns of Ham and Japheth tend to be noticeably different than the descendants of Shem, and these differences tend to cause tension and strife between the offspring, similar the adversity between Jacob and Esau as well as between Isaac and Ishmael.

The Semitic people originate from Shem who is referred to as the father of the children of Eber (Gen. 10). The word Hebrew probably comes from the name Eber. However even among the Semitic people there are notable exceptions like Esau who sold his birthright for a bowl of soup.

Ownership requires maintenance and if we have been given a birthright then we need to do the necessary upkeep that it deserves. So let’s contend for the faith once delivered to the saints.
