Put on the Armour of God

"Put om the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil." Ephesians 6:11.

The separate parts of armor are;

Loins girt about with truth blessedness,
Breastplate of righteousness.
Feet shod with preparation of of peace,
And the Shield of faith,
The helmet of salvation too,
And sword of the Spirit do,
Which is the word of God.

These parts of armor have their purpose,
If only one piece is lacking we are in,
Danger of the devil's vices injuring kin,
The devil is watchful for every weak spot,
in our armor do not stay on the cot.

He strikes where it does most good for his purpose see,
To us it may not seem of importance but is key,
Those who watch our lives may be disappointed in us,
And we may stumble and such.

God says fir us to"Abstain from all form of evil."
Have you really stopped to think of things you do?
They may not seem wrong to you but who,
Would it cause a brother or sister to fall,
Or even a sinner to go deeper?

The whole armor gives us insight,
to see ourselves clearly what is right,
The Spirit of God gives the desire to abstain from evil,
Or even all appearances of evil, so no one will say,
"His life caused me to lose faith."
