Put On The Whole Armor Of God

The separate parts of armor are;

Loins girt about with truth blessedness,
Breastplate of righteousness you see.
Feet shod with preparation of peace a key,
And the Shield of faith without blemish.

The helmet of salvation so this do,
And sword of the Spirit do this too,
Which you see is the word of God.

These parts of armor have their purpose,
If only one piece is lacking we are in,
Danger of the devil's vices bringing sin.
The devil is watchful for every weak spot,
In our armor do not stay do not join the lot.

The devil strikes where it does most good for his purpose see,
To us it may seem of little importance but it is the key.
Those who watch our lives may be disappointed in us,
If we may continue to sin and stumble and such.

God tells us to"Abstain from all forms of evil."
Have you really stopped to think of the things you do?
They may not seem wrong to you but at the time.
Bur it could cause a brother or sister to fall.
Or even a sinner to go deeper?

The whole armor gives us insight,
to see ourselves clearly in what is right,
The Spirit of God gives the desire to abstain from evil,
And even all appearances of evil, so no one will say,
"His life caused me to lose faith."
