The Miracle of a Moment

High upon this hill, with the heavens draped around me,
I wander in wide wonder at my new found sanctuary.
While the growing glow that shows a new day is born
Laves its loving light to illuminate the morn;

The brilliant blue fingers of blissful daylight
Push past the penumbra of shadowy night.
Casting its colors across dew dawning skies.
Revealing a ceiling appealing to my eyes.

In reverent relief I release my false fears.
Sailing them solemnly upon salty tears.
Then on this high hill, I so humbly stroll,
A still small voice speaks to my soul.

It whispers to me while I trod the soft sod,
"Be still, and know that I am God."
In this manifest miracle of moment I find,
Beneath this bright brilliance there is peace of mind.

It lingers to laud the Lord in this hour.
Praising His glory, grace, and great power.
As the seraphim sunrise spreads its bright ray,
God grants us the gift of another new day.
